EUCHARIST

"Then he took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And he did the same with the cup after supper, saying " This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood." Luke 22:19-20

Eucharist is one of the Sacraments of initiation into the Catholic Church, together with Baptism and Confirmation.
Baptised children who have completed the Sacrament of Reconciliation and are in Year 4 or above, and, importantly, you believe is ready to receive their first Communion are invited to participate in the following requirements. Parents of children attending St Joseph’s Primary School will be contacted through the School.

  • Commitment Mass (Trafalgar)

  • Parent Workshop (Warragul)

  • TWO Parent/Child Workshops (Warragul)

  • TWO Teaching Masses (Trafalgar)

  • Receive Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Eucharist (First Communion) is held in St John’s Church Trafalgar

Details will be provided for the timetable of liturgies, workshops and meetings that form the preparation process, at which full attendance is expected.  

We are very grateful that the Warragul parish team welcomes St John’s Parish’s smaller sacrament groups into their preparation.

When you complete the Sacrament of Eucharist Booking form (below) you will receive a confirmation call from the Parish Office or a staff member of St Joseph’s School.
